Currently, the district web filter does not allow YouTube to be viewed on the student wireless network and therefore, on student devices. If you are using Haiku, Schoology, Edmodo or other learning management systems, this is a real roadblock. YouTube offers hundreds of high quality teacher resources to enhance student learning. However, since students cannot view YouTube videos, these resources are often not used for student independent learning. Luckily, there is a simple work around for teachers. By using the site KeepVid, teachers can download any YouTube video they wish and upload it onto Haiku, Schoology, Edmodo or other online sites.
